Our members come from all walks of life and are attempting to live thier lives to the best of their ability. However, to do so it is imperative that one take a look within in order to start the growth process and mature.Consequently, without this reflective posture there can be no emotional or spirutual growth. As a result, issues will continue to follow individuals from one employer to the next, one car to the next, one home to the next, and from one acquaintance to the next.
These issues can be equated with the biblical story of the individual who attempts to pour new wine (employment, home, car, friends-your life) into old skin (unresolved issues). Regardless of how beautiful and sturdy the old skin appears the "new wine" will seep through. The "wine" seeps through to those we come in contacct with...our family and loved one, collegues and friends, and church members.
Hidden Strengths is determined through the Word of God to rid ourselves of the "old skin" because eventually this skin will become dry and too heavy to carry. Consequently, if this "old skin" is not confronted it will lead to a life of complaining, discontentment, envy, and a lack of joy. However, one must look towards Jesus Christ, knowing thier help comes from the Lord.
In closing, be determined to say goodbye to the "old skin" and replace it with a new and vibrant skin - a relationship with the word of God, where one can grow and mature in Jesus Christ.
